Insomnia and Anxiety
Valerian Root is a mild sedative and hypnotic (sleep-inducing) herb, making it useful for anxiety, irritability, and insomnia. Taken during the day. Valerian helps to calm the nervous system and relieve feelings of stress or panic, taken at night it can help improve sleep-onset and maintenance.
Place 1/2 to 1 tsp of tea per 200ml cup into a tea pot or infuser with water just off the boil for 1 min. Steep for 2-3 mins then pour. The tea leaves can be infused several times. Drink 1-3 cups per day. May be sweetened with honey if desired.
50g or 100g of herb in resealable paper bag.
